The Truth Is…

I’ve wanted to add a blog to my website for a while, but, ya know, life. This morning on my walk with my dog, Zoe, I listened to a podcast about how the fear of putting ourselves out there can prevent us from accomplishing our goals. I realized I was using the busyness of life as an excuse for why I was putting this off for so long, so that ends today. I also really enjoy writing, so this will give me an opportunity to write a little bit every day, connect with others, and provide a virtual retreat from the trenches of life to feel accepted, included, and validated.

This blog will bring different perspectives about the human experience, regardless of whether they are a parent or not, work in the birth space or outer space, through a weekly (short!) Q&A about where they came from, where they’ve been, what they learned, and their advice for others. These won’t be deep, dissecting dives, rather refreshing reminders of how we all intersect so beautifully.

In other words: Short, sweet, sometimes sad, and always sincere.

(also, if you haven’t noticed yet, I’m really into alliterations)

Listen, the truth is birth, parenting, life are really hard at times! And we’re going to talk about all of it. It truly takes a village to support everyone in society. We each have an essential role in creating safe, empowered, and thriving communities, and by speaking the truth (even when it’s hard) and becoming vulnerable (even when we’d rather crawl into a hole to avoid exposing our scars), we can help each other navigate our ever-evolving roles in life.

So welcome to “The Truth Is…”, I look forward to sharing, listening, and coming together.

If you would like to share your perspective, I would love to hear it, contact me here.
